U.S. Secretaries of Commerce and Agriculture
and Congressal Delegation to Accompany President Clinton

 

The Foreign Ministry today (Thursday) 10.12.98, announces that United States Secretary of Commerce William Daley and Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman will accompany President Bill Clinton on his visit to Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The President will also be accompanied by a 16 member delegation from the Senate and House of Representatives from both parties, including Senator Paul Wellstone (D - Minnesota), Frank Lautenburg (D - New Jersey) and Arlen Specter (R - Pennsylvania).

The Congressal delegation itinerary will be separate from the President's. They will meet President Ezer Weizman, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minsiter Ariel Sharon and be guests of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
