PM Netanyahu announces new security measures

 

At a special meeting today (Friday) 30.10.98, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced an immediate allocation of approximately NIS 5 million to fund a security firm in eastern Jerusalem. Attending the meeting were Defense Minister Yitzhak Mordechai, Finance Minister Ya'akov Ne'eman, the Deputy Housing Minister and other government and security forces officials.

At the meeting, it was also decided to allocate funds for the building of bypass roads and for the protection of settlements in Judea and Samaria. The construction will begin on Sunday 1.11.98, with an immediate allocation of NIS 250 million for the construction of bypass roads at al-Arub, east Bethlehem and Fadual along the trans-Samaria highway.
