EPCOT Millienium Pavilion

The Arab League decision to accept the assurances offered by the Walt Disney Company, with regard to the Israeli pavilion at the Epcot Millenium Village, was reached in the wake of the special meeting between Foreign Minister David Levy and his Arab counterparts - and following the Foreign Minister's unequivocal clarification that Israel will not accept the dualism of a peace process accompanied by a political struggle against Israel.

The State of Israel is certain that the Disney Company will honor its commitments, and that all visitors to the Israeli exhibit will be impressed by the fact that Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel - as a city with a rich history and heritage where freedom of religion and worship are guaranteed for members of all faiths.

During his meeting with leaders of the American Jewish community on Thursday, 23.9.99, Foreign Minister Levy praised the efforts of all those working to ensure that the Arab boycott of Israel is not resumed - which would be particularly untenable in the era of the peace process.
