Deputy FM Masalha meets Turkish Ambassador
Deputy Foreign Minister Nawaf Masalha today (Wednesday) 1.9.99, met the new Turkish Ambassador to Israel Ahmet Uzumcu.
Deputy Minister Masalha briefed the Ambassador on the situation of the peace process.
The Ambassador expressed his great appreciation and deep thanks for massive help provided by both Jews and Arabs in Israel for earthquake victims in Turkey, and hoped to develop bilateral diplomatic and economic relations and to deepen the relations between the Israeli and Turkish peoples.
The Ambassador said that peace is also in the interest of Turkey, and that hope would soon be achieved between Israel and the Arab states.
He extended an invitation for Deputy Minister Masalha to visit Turkey, which was accepted.
