Communicated by Prime Minister's Media Advisor Jerusalem, 9 August 1998 PM Netanyahu speaks with Yeltsin's National Security Advisor Kokoshin   Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today (Sunday) 9.8.98, spoke with General Andrei Kokoshin, Advisor on National Security to the Russian President. In a conversation lasting more than an hour, the two discussed possibilities of broadening cooperation between the two countries. The prime minister stressed the seriousness of the problem of Iran acquiring non- conventional weaponry. Various possibilities were discussed for halting the passing of knowledge, non-conventional materials and equipment to Iran by foreign states in general and by Russia in particular. The prime minister told General Kokoshin that the Russian authorities must greatly increase their enforcement, monitoring and punishment efforts in this area.
