MK Delegation to Visit Africa
Following the success of last year's African tour, Foreign Ministry Director-General Eytan Bentsur today (Thursday) 6.8.98, instructed the Africa Bureau to organize an addition tour of African states for MKs. They will visit Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Nigeria and Rwanda. The objective will be to strengthen Israel's relations with these countries and to update their leaders on the situation of the Middle East peace process and the positions of the Israeli government.
The MKs will meet national leaders, parliamentarians, decision makers, media and journalists and Jewish and Israeli communities. The MKs will be carrying personal letters from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the national leaders.
The following MKs will be participating: Ze'ev Boim, Gideon Ezra, Yehuda Lancry, Zvi Weinberg and Emanuel Zisman.
