Communicated by the Defense Minister's Media Adviser 5 August 1998 DM Mordechai visits Yizhar   Defense Minister Yitzhak Mordechai, this afternoon (Wednesday), 5.8.98, visited the community of Yizhar, where terrorists ambushed and murdered two residents, Harel Bin-Nun and Shlomo Lieberman. He said that this was an abominable, cold-blooded murder and expressed his condolences, and those of the defense establishment, to the bereaved families. He added that everything was being done to apprehend the murderers. Minister Mordechai said that he has instructed IDF forces and the GSS to take all measures to track down the murderers. He added that Israel has demanded that the Palestinian Authority act immediately to locate the murderers. The Defense Minister was accompanied by IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Shaul Mofaz, OC Central Command Maj.-Gen. Moshe Ya'alon, Coordinator of Activities in the Territories Maj-Gen Ya'acov Orr, and other senior IDF officers.
