Jubilee Exhibition
Israel's "Jubilee Exhibition" will be held between 4-31.8.98 at the Tel Aviv Exhibition Grounds. The Exhibition will show the country's most impressive achievements of the past fifty years in all walks of life, with special emphasis on the future.
The achievements and programs that will be exhibited have never been seen before. Visitors will take an active part in the range of attractions presented. Many of the exhibits are interactive. The "Jubilee Exhibition" will be a unique cultural and educational experience for the entire family which the Israeli government, with the help of the Jubilee Association, has prepared for its citizens, guests and tourists from all over the world.
The Exhibition will cover over 400,000 square meters which will enable all visitors to experience a deep and wide ranging view of Israel in many fields: Peace; the Army and security; the ethos of the Declaration of Independence; personal and business communications; industry and exports; satellite communications and aerospace; technology and scientific applications; military and civilian R&D; agriculture; family and community; health; education; personal security; environment; urban planning and landscaping; public and private housing; transportation; exploiting natural resources; social welfare; arts and culture; humor, satire and more.
The Exhibition will focus on the theme of "Children are the Future"; every exhibit will present a clear visual connection of past generations' excellence and achievements with today's life and future expectations.
Following is a list and summary of selected exhibits:
The Jubilee Entrance Booth A brief history of Israel, including a laser show presentation of the Declaration of Independence and historical highlights leading into the exhibition itself.
The IDF and Military Industries Aircraft, weapons and equipment of the IDF.
Israel and the World A reproduction of the Foreign Ministry Situation Room where visitors may obtain information on all places where Israelis travel and take the Ministry's cadets entrance examination. The exhibit will show Israel's cultural, trade, sport and science relations with other countries as well as Israel's relations with the Diaspora.
Housing and Construction An interactive exhibit highlighting Israel's achievements in public housing since independence and plans for the hi-tech future.
Ministry of the Interior A reproduction of the "Israel 2020" Project representing life and citizenship for the next millennium in Israel.
Health An interactive exhibit of Israel's health system, medical advancements and technologies and developments in the medical fields of genetic engineering, transplants, in vitro fertilization etc.
The Status of Women An exhibit of "Voting Women" presents the status of women in Israel and their achievements, including a special sculpture exhibit and documentary film on 63 women winners of the Israel Prize.
Communications A multi-media will represent the past, present and future developments in communications from drums to satellite communications. Communications companies will present modern equipment and services.
The Arab Sector An exhibit of the achievements and life of Israel's Arab communities in all fields, including education, culture, medicine, sports and Arab-Israeli contributions to the security services.
Internal Security Exhibits of the Police, Border Guard, Civil Defense showing their history, equipment achievements.
Industry and Trade A multi-media exhibit showing the history of Israeli industry and trade and their future in the next century, with emphasis on Israeli products from bathing suits to diamonds and hi-tech computer software and components.
Science Achievements and products of Israeli science in various fields from human development to a reproduction of an Israeli satellite.
Environment Artistic and theatrical shows representing waste treatment, air, noise and industrial pollution, recycling and the conservation and protection of open spaces.
Agriculture An exhibit of modern Israeli agriculture, agro- technology and produce.
The Jewish National Fund An exhibit of the activities of the JNF today, pictures of JNF sponsored forests all surrounding a giant revolving reproduction of the well-known JNF collection box.
Culture and the Arts An exhibit of Israeli culture and art, painting, sculpture, music and dance.
The National Insurance Institute Computer stimulations of the National Insurance Institute's activities.

Miphal Hapayis (State Lottery) Booth Miphal Hapayis sponsored projects.
The City of Restaurants Restaurants and buffets will serve the audience, providing a wide range of food and drinks.
Exhibition Events Artistic shows presenting events of the visionary Binyamin Ze'ev Herzl will be held throughout the exhibition.
Israel Television, Radio Reshet Gimmel, IDF Radio and Israel Radio Arabic Service will produce live and taped broadcasts from the exhibition grounds, including some of the events and shows.
