Jerusalem, September 23, 1997 Diplomats' return from Jordan
The two Israeli diplomats who were injured in an attack in Amman yesterday returned to Israel this afternoon (Sep. 23).
Amikam Hadar and Moshe Levin were treated at the "Al Hussein" Medical Center where they received the best possible care.
We thank the excellent doctors and hospital staff, as well as His Majesty the King of Jordan and the Jordanian authorities for the help and support we received from them in difficult moments. This has been another expression of the friendship and good relations between our two countries, which are both committed to continuing the peace process and to the war against terrorism which is trying to sabotage and destroy this process.
Foreign Minister David Levy will meet his Jordanian counterpart Foreign Minister Tarawneh this afternoon (19:00 Israel Time). This topic will be among those discussed.
