Mubarak about Azzam Azzam verdict> Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke this afternoon, (Sunday) 31.08.97, with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. The Prime Minister informed President Mubarak that he was surprised by the verdict in the Azzam Azzam case. He added that this verdict is unjustified, since Azzam is innocent. He requested that President Mubarak use his influence to bring about Azzam's release. President Mubarak expressed regret that Azzam had been found guilty, and listened to the Prime Minister's remarks on the subject. Prime Minister Netanyahu will continue to work, and will not rest until a solution is found and Azzam is released.
