Communicated by the Defense Minister's Media Adviser  Jerusalem, 15 June 2000 PM Barak dispatches firefighting aircraft to Cyprus   Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ehud Barak today (Thursday), 15.6.2000, responded to a request from the Cypriot government to assist in extinguishing the large fires currently raging near Nicosia. Prime Minister Barak ordered the IDF to dispatch IAF firefighting aircraft to Cyprus. Two Yasur helicopters and one Karnaf plane will shortly leave for Cyprus.
