Visit of the President of Kazakhstan

 

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, will embark on a state visit to Israel between April 3-5. This will be the second visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Israel. The first one took place in December 1995.

In the course of his visit, the President will meet with his Israeli counterpart President Weizman, Prime Minister Barak, Foreign Minister Levy, Minister of the Interior Sharansky and the Minister for Regional Cooperation Peres. In addition, President Nazarbayev will lay a wreath at Yad Vashem and at the grave of late Prime Minister Rabin, and will visit the Old City of Jerusalem.

During the President's visit, special emphasis will be placed on the economic aspects of Israel-Kazakhstan ties. The President will be accompanied by an economic delegation which will meet with Israeli entrepreneurs and industrialists, within the framework of an economic seminar. The purpose of the seminar is to encourage Israeli entrepreneurs to invest in the economy of Kazakhstan.
