FM Sharon on Yugoslavia

 

In response to a question regarding Yugoslavia, Israeli Foreign Minister Ariel Sharon stated today (28 March) that Israel is willing to extend medical, humanitarian and other aid to the victims of the hostilities in Yugoslavia, if asked to do so.

Foreign Minister Sharon reiterated his sorrow over the loss of life in Yugoslavia, especially among innocent civilians.

Minister Sharon called upon the parties to the conflict to return to the negotiating table, and to achieve a negotiated settlement which will put an end to the bloodshed.
