Prime Minister Netanyahu sets leaders
for diplomatic negotiationsPrime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today, Monday, 27.01.97 established the format for continued diplomatic negotiations with the Palestinians, and negotiations with the Syrians, if they do resume, to be carried out under the instructions of the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister requested that Foreign Minister David Levy take responsibility for the continuing negotiations with the Palestinians as the chairman of the supreme steering committee dealing with these negotiations.
The Prime Minister also asked attorney Yitzhak Molcho to assist in managing negotiations with the Palestinians.
The Prime Minister asked Defense Minister Yitzhak Mordechai to be responsible for security negotiations with Syria, if indeed, these negotiations open.
Negotiations teams will be set in the future.
