Communicated by the Prime Minister's Media Adviser  Jerusalem, 29 February 2000 PM Barak meets Dr. Osama El-Baz   Prime Minister Ehud Barak today (Tuesday), 29.2.2000 met with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's adviser, Dr. Osama el-Baz, for approximately 90 minutes. The meeting was held in a good and friendly atmosphere. Prime Minister Barak briefed Mr. el-Baz on the situation on both tracks of the peace process and emphasized that Israeli is determined to seize the opportunities on both tracks simultaneously. The Prime Minister said that he is committed to trying to make progress vis-a-vis both the Syrians and the Palestinians, as he told President Mubarak and Chairman Arafat immediately after winning the elections last year. Mr. el-Baz praised the Prime Minister's efforts to promote the negotiations on both tracks, and emphasized that President Mubarak has complete faith regarding the seriousness of the Prime Minister's intentions.
