Communicated by Foreign Ministry Spokesman  Jerusalem, 13 January 2000 Turkish Cultural Minister and Parliament Members visit Israel for opening ceremony of Israel-Turkey Friendship League   Turkish Minister of Culture Istemihan Talay and a group of senior members of parliament, including Hikmet Cetin, policy advisor to President Demirel, and Ertugrul Ciragn, advisor to Prime Minister Ecivet, will visit Israel today (13.1.00) - as guests of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - for the opening ceremony of the Israel-Turkey Friendship League at Heihal HaTarbut (Culture Hall) in Tel Aviv. Mr. Cetin has served in the past as Foreign Minister and until recently was Chairman of the Turkish Parliament. The delegation will hold several diplomatic meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem. Minister of Culture Talay will meet with Israel's Minister of Science, Culture and Sport, Matan Vilnai.
