Cabinet Communique

The Cabinet Secretariat has released the following statement today (Monday), 6.10.97, following the special Cabinet session:

  1. The Cabinet discussed the incident which occurred in Amman on Thursday, 25 September 1997.
  2. The Cabinet has decided to examine this incident and derive such lessons as will be necessary.
  3. To this end, a three-person committee will be established to examine all aspects related to the incident, both prior to, and during, its occurrence. The committee will be headed by Yosef Chekhanover. Its other members are Nahum Admoni and Rafi Peled. The committee will report its findings to the Cabinet forthwith.
