Jerusalem, July 24, 2000 From July 23 through August 11, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be hosting the Third Young Jewish Leadership Diplomatic Seminar at the Holyland Hotel in Jerusalem. Thirty-one young Jewish leaders (up to age 35) from 17 different countries, carefully chosen by the Israeli embassies and consulates, will be participating in the seminar. The seminar will concentrate on Israel's foreign policy, the Middle East, Israeli society in all its diversity and Israel-Diaspora relations. The seminar is intended to give practical expresssion to the desire of the Israeli government and the Foreign Ministry to allocate resources and conduct programs that contribute to Jewish continuity in the Diaspora, by means of strengthening the ties between Jewish communities around the world and the State and society of Israel.
The program of the seminar includes meetings with politicians, public and academic figures and diplomats, as well as a wide range of activities: lectures, tours and cultural events.
